Friends of Shoal Creek (FoSC), formed in early 2019, is a coalition of neighbors based in Decatur, Georgia, interested in protecting the natural and community resources of Shoal Creek, including the wildlife and habitat in the surrounding Shoal Creek watershed.

- raise public awareness and educate the public about Shoal Creek and its watershed;
- protect Shoal Creek water quality;
- provide public access to recreational and natural resources along Shoal Creek;
- protect wildlife habitat and preserve green space along Shoal Creek in Decatur and in greater DeKalb County, GA.
FoSC’s core value is respect. We seek to care for and protect the Shoal Creek watershed that contributes to our quality of life in and around Decatur. We seek to enhance our community’s health, well-being and safety with the protection of critical natural resources in and around Shoal Creek.
